South Orange County Home Schooling Group is an inclusive and eclectic multi-age and multi-leveled educational based support group for families in South Orange County. Home Learner-Whittier Home Schooling
Home Learner is a homeschool group offering information most pertinent to Whittier homeschooling with some Los Angeles and Orange County information, occasional articles, unit studies and topical links. Homeschoolers in the group come from Whittier, La Habra, Brea, La Mirada, Hacienda Heights, Fullerton, and occasionally farther.

Manzanar National Historic Site
Manzanar War Relocation Center was one of ten camps at which Japanese American citizens and resident Japanese aliens were interned during World War II. Located at the foot of the imposing Sierra Nevada in eastern California's Owens Valley, Manzanar has been identified as the best preserved of these camps. Manzanar is located 9 miles north of Lone Pine and 6 miles south of Independence, California.
